I started seeds inside and transplanted them onto the slope in our backyard, they grew well but the produce was bitter and sour. I think I allowed them to stay too long on the vine before harvesting and I am working to amend the soil. The hill has a lot of clay and, until recently, was covered in Pepper Trees which I think messed up the nitrogen content.
